I run my car off waste vegetable oil. I'm not sure if that is feasible in AK, but it works really well in sunny southern California. I haven't paid for gas since January. At the beginning, it was a pain. Now that gas prices are so high, I don't mind spending the money. The higher the gas prices go, the more money I save.
