Mindset Six50 Hybrid electric with solar panels

Due in 2009 the Mindset Six50 comes from the former head of design at VW, Murat Günak. Weighting in at around 650 kg (1430 pounds) the Mindset uses an internal pack of lithium ion batteries and has a range of 100Km (62 miles) after that the 2 cylinder gas engine gives it a total range 800Km (497 miles). To increase this range they’ve also integrated rooftop solar panels. This car is no slouch…its got a 0-60 time of under 6 seconds and a top speed of 75 Mph. at 50,000 euros or $75K it ain’t cheap…but then again not many electric cars out today are.
