Plugless Power on the road to production

091216-plugless-01
Plugless Power is gearing up for production of their new plugless charging stations. Where will we first see them? We do not know. How cool does this sound? VERY COOL. This means you can park at a station and you’re good-to-go. We’ll likely start seeing these charging stations at public chains like mcdonalds or starbucks where you’d normally park for more than 15 minutes while getting a bite to eat & charging your EV at the same time.

Chevy Volt gets 230 Mpg rating

gm-chevy-volt
The Chevy Volt has received a rating of 230 mpg. Don’t be deceived…the 230 mpg rating doesn’t actually apply to its regular gas milage which is 50 mpg. Confused? We were too. It seems the term ‘mpg’ has become more of a marketing term than anything else and is also being used for electric cars that don’t use a drop of gas. Shouldn’t they have a new rating? MPW or miles per watt or MpKw miles per kilowatt?
